In ear headphones for use with ipod nano

Looking for some recommendations if anyone would be so kind.

Had some Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia ones but the left side doesnt appear to be working any more

Dont want to spend fortune but obviously want the sound to be nice and clear/good bass etc

Thanks in advance

Sennhesier cx300 - £15.99 from amazon

Shure E2C - £35 from amazon.

Take your pick, both proved performers.

Noticed some Shure stuff that was very expensive, can you actually notice much when listening to an ipod between say £35 and £270 headphones or are the more expensive stuff better used with other hardware?

If the headphone is quite easy to drive then I'd imagine you would notice a difference easily. Harder to drive phones may not come to life without further amplification.

I have the superfi 5 pro and noticed a difference immediately. However, I'm sure the law of diminishing returns would set the more expensive you went. For example, I've just bought the triple.fi 10s. Now they are better than the 5s, but I wouldn't say it is night and day. Perhaps I'd notice more improvement if I had better gear driving them.

these - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Etymotic-ER6...672997-5566829 for a black Nano.

I got the white ones off ebay a couple of weeks ago (half that price) for my old white 4th gen ipod & they're the business. & btw they leave the CX300s standing, I know 'cause I've got both.

The CX300s are good but the cable is AWFUL. Noisy & all twisted. Go for some Shures.

Re: In ear headphones for use with ipod nano

I recently purchased the Shure E2C from Amazon after reading this forum and have been impressed. They do take a bit of getting used to, but they are good. The cable is good and thick and they are well built. I mainly use them with my 1st gen 2gb nano. One thing to note - I've used them on the plane 4 times now and they are really good at blocking out background noise. I've not had 'in ears' before so I can't compare them to others.
