I think its time I stepped up a level or two on my headphone choice

My budget is around £100 please could you give me a few pointers

My only other headphones have been the koss porta pro, Sennheiser PMX100 & the Sennheiser HD 465

Please remember I will be looking to use the headphones with a MP3 player while im out and about

Ok, so they look weird and you can't use them when it rains. But you know you want to

Re: Need headphone advice please

i love the suggestion by Lawrenzini, maybe a little over budget. yes i'd love a set of Stax S-001MK2 and was considering them before i brought my Ultrasone 750's.

i would go for the sennheiser hd 25's, not the 25-13's or 25 sp, but the plain ol' 25's.

i've got a pair that are about to be renovarted care of dolphin music, and for a quick search they're going for a steel. http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/page/s...roduct_id/1916

i brought mine over 10 years ago and they cost me £165. they were my main headphones for many, many years.

they aren't full size headphones as such, they're a tad smaller and i always felt comfortable wearing them out and about. if you want small, full size, full sound headphones, then these are at the top of my list, it's as simple as that.

for both home and portable use (without looking a total pratt), i really can't suggest another headphone that bridges the gap, as well as the HD 25's
