headphone extensions/amp maybe

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but it looks like it might be as good place to start as any.

If any of you have been to a gym you will know what I'm about to talk about , I hope... Usually on a gym's machines they have some sort of box you can just plug your headphones into and listen to music while you exercise, and usually they have a volume control.

I have a couple of gym machine's at home and I want to do the same kind of thing, output sound from the TV, split it 2 ways, then run a feed to both machines to one of those boxes attached to each machine.

Any idea where I might be able to get this kind of thing ?

I've searched and searched on google without much luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Marvin.

Re: headphone extensions/amp maybe

Ok, what I would do.

1st thing I would buy a Boosteroo

http://www.boostaroo.com/

Then I would buy 2 male-female headphone extension cords, something like this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=190087950120

Then 2 of these:

Should do what you want and the boosteroo should boost the volume to cover the distance.

You'd have to be a little inventive with the attachment to the machines, but it should be ok.

Of course I dont know what distances you are talking about so it's hard to say.

Re: headphone extensions/amp maybe

Thats perfect, distances wont be a problem, the machines are very close to source.

Thanks again !
