Creative ep630, buy them again?

Hi guys, for over a year I've been using my Creative ep630 earphones and I've been loving them. However, they have recently broken: the cord going into the male plug has become faulty and you have to fiddle with it. Unfortunatley, I'm not sure if I have a warranty longer than a year and if I do, I've lost the receipt. So I was going to either cut them and join another male plug to it, or buy a new set if that doesn't sound good.

My question is, I loved the 630 but as soon as I got them I always thought they were a bit weak and would develop a fault, and they kept falling out my ear, so is there anything price and quality wise similar to these earphones but which are built stronger and, perhaps, dont fall out your ear when running on a treadmill or anything? I've read that the Shure e2c have something to keep them in your ear, this true?

Cheers.

Thumbs up Re: Creative ep630, buy them again?

The sure sit snugly in the ear and stays in place with it over the ear and through the back system, and it works very very well!. However with the e2c's the bass isn't that noticeable unless you have a great seal then it'll be there! Don't expect something resembling your current ones but it's mids and highs are uber accurate.
And on top of that you have to purchase wax guards whenever you have used up your 6 pairs or so, that comes with it.
If you consider the Sure E5c's have a look at the Ultimate Ear Super Fi 3 pro and 4 pro as they have lower maintenance cans. I personally own the Triple Fi 10 in blue.
