noise cancelling\isolating headphones

Well need a bit of help.. I work in IT and am always in machine rooms - always noisy and am sure it damages my ears. I also fly quite often and would be good to have a quiet seat so I can

I presently have some Skull Candy Smokin Earbuds, but they keep coming loose in my ears.. what I would like is some replacements and have a budget of up to £50... either finding some earbuds that have a better fit or going for some larger ones - any recommendations?

thanks

Get a sound meter into the server room or ask them to tell you what the sound level is as you can get a hum in the ears if too loud (I too work in IT). Mate you can afford an extra £15 I know you can Go for some shure e3c I hear they are on Amazon for this price. They will isolate the noise and have buds of varying sizes. I think you have to think of quality and support for the ear phones and shure are very good.

Re: noise cancelling\isolating headphones

They may not look as fashionable as the Skull Candy 'phones but the Senn HD280 Pros are exceptionally good for the price.

Hi,

If you wanted to save a load of money go for the Creative Labs HN700 ~£30
I think lowestontheweb were the cheapest for these a couple of weeks ago.

You could get the Senns PXC250 for £50 from ebay or the PCX300 for £75

If you wanted to spend a bit more I did read that the Panasonic RPHC300ES are supposed to be very good and you get a leather case to keep them in. They are sold for around £100 in the UK. Just had a look on Ebay and you can get them from the USA for ~$120 which is about £65.

Thumbs up Re: noise cancelling\isolating headphones

Hey there monkey 99,

The sure E2c and 3c's isolation is about the same, or marginally different. The only thing you're paying for is the tuned port technology which delivers a better bass. However there's a rather distinct price gap between the E2c's and E3c's. However if you wanna isolate sounds of whizzing aircon, pc hdd's, keyboard tap, mice clicks, static flickers, printers printing, keyboard slides open and shut I'd choose the shure's hands down, along with a few other companies that has similar products,

Etymotic Er6i (£99 on apple.com but can be bought for 75 at headphoneworld.com)
ultimate ear super fi 3 pro, super fi 4 pro.
Ultimate ear Metro

Derek.
