Sennheiser HDR 85s gone quiet

So I dusted off my old wireless headphones to use in the new cinema room the other day and think they have a problem.

They have been left charging for a good 4 or 5 days but when I came to use them this morning they were very very quiet. I turned the volume on the source / amp / headphones way up and it made little difference. When I first switched the headphones on the volume was fine but only lasted about 5 seconds. I'm only sitting about 2ft from the base station.

Edit - I also noticed that the red charge light never goes out (should it?) so I was thinking perhpas the battery isn't retaining a full charge?

Do you think these are recoverable as I used to love using them?

ta,

Nige

Anyone even know where I could still pickup a spare battery for these?

Check head-fi.org, there are a lot more members there, you might get a better response. I havent had any experience with these headphones, but starting with the battery would be a good start.
