Another recommendation required !

Hi all.

I currently have a Sony HD5 (which I'm still happy with) and a set of Sony MDR-EX90LP, the headphones I think are great value at £50 and sound good with my choice of music (Hip-Hop & Dance).

I'm about to start out on some travelling and think I'll invest in a more expensive pair of phones (on-ear style).

I've tried a set of Bose QuietComfort 3's in the apple store and I thought they sounded very good (though you guys on here don't seem to rate them).

My budget would be £150 but as one of my travel destinations is Thailand I'd expect the prices to be cheaper there.

Thanks for any replies.

Will they be amped or running straight from a headphone jack on say, an iPod?

Re: Another recommendation required !

having gone through 4 pairs of bose triports, i do like bose, but having recently brought a pair of ultrasone proline 750's i have to say that i'm sold on the ultrasone sound, more so than sennheiser and grado.

the clarity is far better than my (ex) pair of grado sr125's and with better bass control than the triports i sold to pay for the ultrasones.

there are two very minor downsides.

1) the size of the headphones, you'd looking stupid wearing these down your local highstreet.

2) they don't have the same volume of my other headphones.

but with that said, i am totally sold, and would advise that anyone should invest in them.

a well worth buy!
