Dolby Headphone via Bluetooth - is it feasible

So I'm in the market for some decent 5.1 headphones, ideally wireless.

Having done some research it seems to come down to the Philips or the Pioneer both of which seem to have quality problems as well as having to order from abroad and potentially run the risks of import duty etc.

The other option is the Creative HQ2300D solution which comes with wired headphones - a lot cheaper and also available easily in the UK.

Anyway it got me thinking, is there anything technically about Dolby Headphone encoding which would mean it couldn't be transmitted by bluetooth A2DP by plugging in one of the various bluetooth audio transmitters which are available into the headphone socket on the Creative unit and using some A2DP compliant headphones - eg Pulsar 590A etc.

My guess is that it *ought* to work since the output is basically just a processed stereo signal and it certainly works without special headphones (at least when wired).

So has anyone tried this and did it work or not, or alternatively anyone know of any reason why it wouldn't work?

Thanks in advance?

Matthew.
