Best price for Beyerdynamic DT990??

Hi guys.

After hearing a LOT of praise about these headphones, I have decided I am going to buy a pair (I assume they come with the little adapter for the little green slot on the side of my hdtv)

Are these 2 links the same product?

http://www.nusystems.co.uk/product/B...amic.DT990.PRO

http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/p...roduct_ID/1781

Why is one a lot cheaper? I have found like 5 different sites with various prices, and differing RRP prices.

Can anyone help me find the best price please.

Many thanks for any help

Edit: Also I heard the DT100 are famous for their build quality.....are these worth considering over the DT990's? if so, where is the cheapest place online in the uk, thanks

There are a few different models of the DT990, you have pre-2005 (I think it's was 2005) models and the latest models released from 2005 - You also have the pro models and normals models with different impedance values.

Are you going to be running them amped as you really should be?

Re: Best price for Beyerdynamic DT990??

The Heed CanAmp is at a very good price point and it's supposed to be pretty decent going on peoples opinions;

I currently use a NAIM Headline 2 and have a Corda Prehead MkII SE in the post, which I can't wait to get my hands on.

The price at Superfi is the old model of DT990 but they actually supply the new model which is worth quite a bit more.

As above,the Heed has some very good feedback,and moving up from there,the Slee range is very well reviewed.
From there,you can keep going on up to a whole lot more,but the law of diminishing returns eventually kicks in.
