Gaming Headsets.......

Last night my Logitech earphones gave up the ghost after only 6 months and for £20 they were a bit dissapointing. So to cut a long story short I'm looking for decent replacements. I used to have a set of Medusa 5.1s and they were good till I fell on them and broke them. The lastest version is about £60 which is a little out of my price range but I could stretch if need be.
Cheers in advance

Take a look (listen?) at the Creative HQ2300D's. Just bought a pair and very impressed. Come with a gizmo that takes digital 5.1 input, or upmixes stereo. Can be used with the supplied cans, or with your own pair. Also has two phone outputs so you can share your experience with a buddy!

Re: Gaming Headsets.......

Do they come with pass threw connectors so you can keep your speakers plugged in like the medusa's?

No. I've got a splitter on my PC speaker output, one side goes to the speakers, the other to a headphone extension lead (actually the front headphone socket on the PC). When I want to use the headphones I turn the volume knob down to zero on the speakers.

Re: Gaming Headsets.......

Damm the nice bit about the medusa is the amp box has outputs so you can connect your speakers to it and then turn them on or off as needed. If you have multi channel speakers getting a few splitters adds to the cost,

Ooh... £20 range? That's rough. Well, if you save up there are the Tritton AX360 Headphones. Great sound.

At that price I couldn't say. Sorry.

Re: Gaming Headsets.......

You can just buy the medusa headset, without the amp. I had to after I fell on mine when I was drunk one night. I think they cost me about £25.

Re: Gaming Headsets.......

I have some Sennheiser PC160's and the sound quality is fantastic. They're also comfortable to wear for hours at a time. They are about £50-60 though but worth.
