zalman 5.1 cans

read a few reviews and they don't seem to come out very good. what are the alternatvies peeps?

Just bought some Creative HQ2300D cans for around £50, very impressed with them. They will take digital co-ax Dolby Digital and DTS sources, as well as straight stereo. Will output in Dolby Headphone, as well as straight stereo & Dolby Pro-logic. Only thing to be aware of is that there is only a single driver in each earphone, so the sound maybe isn't as directional as phones with seperate drivers. I use mine mainly for listening to music, and find the sound excellent, although tends to fall down a bit on DVD's.
