Thanks: Gave 42, Got 21 | best earphones for iPod Nano??
folks
my girlfriend robbed my standard apple earphones and left me her standard sony earphones (from her sony NWE002). She seems happy with the apple ones but the sony ones from the NWE002 are poo. They are eccentrically shaped and uncomfortable as well as sounding worse than the apple standard earphones. This gives me an excuse to get a good new pair (of earphones).
Can anyone recommend a good in ear pair to match up with the nano for under £30? I was thinking of the sennheiser MX500, but it seems that most of these listed on ebay are fakes and i am not sure which seller sells the genuine ones!!!???!! so maybe someone can reccommend a good online store too??
i also looked in the Argos catalogue, is there something here worth getting???
cheers |

MX500s arent really any better than the stock buds.
If your going to pay that much you may as well go for the CX300 or Creative EP630 which ARE better.

I just bought the CX300 for £21 from amazon and to be honest they were not as good as everybody make out, For the first time i had to set the EQ to treble reducer to cut out the SSSSSSSSS in the words, Once i did that they where on the same level as ear buds.
They are a little bit louder but i put that down to the fact that they are in your ear rather than sitting on the edge of your ear like the buds.

Well, they *can* be a little sibilant i guess, but TBH, I am not sure what you are expecting for £30? (or less).
They are clearly better than stock buds of any description. In particular bass, something which stock buds usually have very little of, or none at all!
If you arent getting that, you arent getting a good seal in your ear.
But TBH, these are £30 earphones, not £100 cans!

Thanks: Gave 42, Got 21 | Re: best earphones for iPod Nano?? ok, i just got the MX500s and tryed them. I must say i find them a big improvement over the apple and sony phones i describer earlier, definitely worth the £11. Nice little wind up case and inline volume control too.
