USB soundcard/headphone amp

I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD25s on the way. I want to use my Sony Vaio laptop together with Foobar's ABX facility to test various different compression rates. I'm guessing that the headphone output in the Sony costs all of 2p to build.

Is there a sensibly priced USB headphone amp that anyone can personally recommend? The BitHead is a bit rich for me.

Re: USB soundcard/headphone amp

To answer my own question (search turned up stuff after posting that it didn't before), the M-Audio Transit seems to be a good choice - I'll also be able to hook my laptop up to my main AV system and perform some ABXing on that using the optical out.

Any alternatives?

Tim
