Smile Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro - 80 Ohm - £75

Hi. Have been reading this forum for a while. Looking for a good set of comfortable headphone to plug directly into my yamaha amp. Will be used for a mix of music & sometimes film. Also to plug in the laptop occasionally.
Seems like a good price. Would these fit the bill?

Re: Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro - 80 Ohm - £75

.... or the 250 ohm versions for £95 from here..
http://www.thomann.de/thoiw2_beyerdy...info.html#fpix

anyone know what is the difference?... apart from price... OR might the senheisser 595's be better for my needs. Mt musical tastes range from Pink Floyd, Love, Led Zeplin to the foo fighters, Neil Young, Chalatans and modern bands... these can be had for £85 from here
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-lis...UTF8&s=gateway

any help from those who have experienced either of these much appreciated.

Re: Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro - 80 Ohm - £75

Theres virtually no sonic difference between the 80 ohm version and 250 ohm version of the DT770.

The 595 and 770 couldnt be more different. The 595 sounds somewhat dry, but overall more balanced than the 770 which has very much a bowl shape frequency response - i.e. exagerrated bass and treble at the expense of midrange.

Depends what type of sound you prefer.

Or of course, you could buy my Goldring DR150's (virtually brand new and still boxed) and spend the rest on music, or beer.

Ah. I saw your post in another thread . was thinking of butting in there and asking you what you wanted for them. I have seen the DR100's for sale for about £40-45. Whats the difference between the 100's & 150's?.. and why are you selling if you dont mind me asking?
