Hi all,
After several years of use, my Koss KTX Pro headphones have finally given up the ghost, or rather, I killed them by tripping on the cord.

I've repaired them in the past, but feel it's time to retire them and try something new.
So, what would you guys be able to recommend, bearing the following in mind:
- bass response must be at least equal or better than KTX Pro
- portability needs to be equal or better than the KTX Pro
- in-line volume control isn't too important (these can be useful, but tend to break and cause problems often)
- shouldn't cost more than £50 max.
So far, I haven't been convinced by the in-ear design... Mostly because I bought a set of Koss Plugs, and have NEVER been able to insert them in my ears successfully, regardless of how patiently I tried all of the supplied foam pads. I found all of them spring back to their full shape far too quickly for me to be able to insert them in my ear successfully.
I saw a lot of recommendations for Senn CX300s. If anyone has tried Koss KTX Pros and these, can they tell me how the bass compares between them.
FYI, I tried friend's Senn PX200 and was distinctly unimpressed with their lack of bass compared to my Koss.
Thanks in advance guys.
