Like it says in the title: can one order the Philips SBCHP1500 from anywhere at not too insane a price? Apparently it's not sold in the UK.

Note that I really do mean SBCHP1500, and not SBCHD1500.

The only place I can find is here for €229. the site is in german so I don't know if they'll ship, you'll have to contact them. Its a little pricey as you can get the wireless version for not much more.

I found it using:
http://www.preissuchmaschine.de

Lots of availability of the HD wireless version there, but the wired seems to be discontinued

check the other popular philips wireless thread think there was some german othe retailers there which were UK friendly and they ship to UK without issue and fast.

Id really love to slap some Philips bloke in the face for not retailing it in the UK, especially if there advertising it on there main site and saying u can buy it from Currys or Comet on there website.

NicholasB,
I bought the wireless version of the hp1500 from www.technikdirekt.de
The site is bi-lingual and I had no trouble with them. Good price, too.
More about this in the Pioneer-v-Philips thread.
Bill.

NicolasB,
My apologies for causing any confusion; in future, when trying to offer assistance, I'll be more specific.
I knew that you wanted the wired version, but I'd found Technik so satisfactory that I thought that it'd be worth giving them a try.
