Headphones and Speakers

Hi

I want to use headphones at the same time as having the speakers running, I have a Yamaha AV amp which has speaker outputs for a second set of stereo speakers, can anyone tell me where I might obtain a unit to connect to the "B" speaker output which will allow me to connect Headphones. I've done a search but have found nothing that seems to fit the bill. Thanks in advance

I don't think you'll have much luck driving headphones from a speaker output, unless you want to buy some AKG K1000 'phones, which are designed to work like that. (They're not cheap).

Thanks for info Nicholas I was hoping you could get a interface unit that connects to speaker terminals and having a attenuater of sorts to allow headphones to be connected.

There used to be a fair number of these things but I haven't seen any for a while. The better option might be to purchase a cheap headphone amp and hook it up to the Tape Out of your amp.
