Sony MDR-V300 Headphones with Neodymium Magnet

Anyone had any experience of these headphones?

I have gone through about 4 pairs of fontopia's all returned and I'm going to try something a bit different now.

Avoid, avoid, AVOID!!!

Was going to write a review of these (unfathomably) popular £30 phones, as I have a pair and can find sufficient wrong with them to suggest not buying them. And I'm no expert (very far from it ...).

In short, they hurt those with large heads, the bottom-end is muddied, the stupidly thick cord is incredibly - and annoyingly - microphonic, and there's a tendency towards shrieking at the top end with some higher frequency stuff. And the 3m cord length is just too long for portable use ... which is oddly how I've seen most people using these.

oops....i thought for 12 pounds you couldnt go wrong. Oh well i have purchhased them now!

For £12, you've got your money's worth.

I bought them on the high street when they were £30, mistakenly thinking they'd be as good as an equivalent Sony pair I'd had previously that served me very well indeed for 13 years!

Who knows, you might like 'em. I didn't.

These are terrible headphones. Hollow-sounding, tinny, splashy yet muddy, generally yuck. I would have to concede that even the sucky K26P is a lot better.
