Frequency test, want one!

hiay folks, does anyone know of a program for the mac (or PC if nothing for mac) that does frequency sweeps? I want to test the freq responce of my new headphones, see if they do what they say they do.

cheers.

You will also require a suitably calibrated Mic and sound card, plus a dummy head to couple the headphones acoustically to the mic(s),otherwise the results of any such analysis will be invalid.

Most of the good PC based RTA programs such as SpectraRTA and similar will do what you require, but you will also have the problem of coupling the headphones acoustically to the microphone,as mentioned above.

Being honest,it would be difficult for you to get meaningful and accurate results, which in any case may be a little late,as you've already bought the 'phones.
If they sound good, and work well, then enjoy them.

If the headphone you want to check is listed you could try here:
