Exclamation Major issue regarding Sony MDR-EX81!

Hi guys,

For a while now I have been back and forth to Sony center regarding my inear earphones, I have noticed that the plastic is noticeably cheaper quality and have found upon some normal use that the plastic starts to become thinner and rips very easily - the part of the wire that goes behind the neck.

Has anyone got these earphones? Its the ones that cost £34.99, the old Sony top line earphones had a much thicker better quality plastic but these newer ones are very poor.

I would like to know if there are any others out there that have had similar problems as I would like to address this to Sony but need more info on who else has the same issue as myself.

Guys in iLounge will recommend getting the JE version since the quality of the US and UK version are very bad! .

Yeah it is the same as the problem you are facing! Luckily I have been able to go back each time to my local Sony Centre from where I purchased these earphone and have them replaced.

I now have a new reciept that gives me another year warranty
