A little help deciding on a headset.

Hi all, recently ive been meaning to get a pair of decent, cheapish headphones to start of with, until i get into the "big league, of headphones ". Notice i need the headphones with mics, as i play a bit of games. a couple of my friends recommended one pair, which seems to be looking good, but i saw another, with "better" specifications, and fancier feature. Im usually listening to fast paced music, such Techno, rock, metal, etc. so i do like my bass , but i try to limit it sometimes to conserve what is left of my hearing.

Ive made 2 choices, both basically comes down to the "customer reviews". The cost isnt really that concerning of the 2, as i want a decent pair.

This:

Lancer HS-204 Multimedia Headset
With Bass Vibration (gut feeling):

Or this (friends recommendation)
Plantronics GameCom 1 PC Gaming Headset:

Any help would be very much appreciated .

I don't know what sort of price you're looking for....

For the price, the non-USB version of the SpeedLink Medusa 'phones isn't too bad. (Avoid the USB version).
