Hi,
Same old story, doubtless heard on here a thousand times... new Ipod..blah blah..
Looking for replacement headphones, as the supplied ones have all the finesse of having a fridge dropped on your head.
I like the idea of in-ear headphones, and have a couple of pairs in mind;
The Beyerdynamic SX10, which according to What-Hifi are going for around £25, although I can't actually find anywhere in the UK that sells them, or the Panasonic HJE50, which seem to have an exceptional frequency range, better than the Beyer or the much haloed Sennheiser, which I have to say I'm not over ly drawn to.
I listen to a lot of heavy metal, so good bass handling is a must. I don't fully comprehend the frequency range stuff, but looking at the Panny's I would have thought they would serve the purpose well?
I've read an awful lot of negative comments and reviews about the Sony equivalent, so am steering clear of those, but would welcome opinions on the Beyers, Pannys and any others suitable for my kind of musical taste.
The Panasonic set I'm looking at are
THESE
At the moment, please, please don't recommend Shure (not unless you're going to buy 'em for me!). I
know they kick most of the others where it hurts, but I really can't afford that kind of money. Not for a good few months anyway...
Any advice very gratefully received
Thanks, as always!
Ollie
