How do you store your precious headphones on the move?

Having been an in-ear guy for quite some time now, I thought it was time to break away from these unreliable, easily broken, ear-damaging things and move to some nice quality headphones (I chose the Senheisser PMX 200's).
But this presents a new problem... storage?! I like to take my headphones anywhere with me (especially on the many drama/theatre trips I attend with school). In-ear's could simply be scrunched up and shoved in my pocket but obviously this impossible with larger headphones!

So can anyone share their experiences and methods of storing their headphones whilst on the move?
