MF X-can V2 ??

Hi.

I have been offered a MF X-cans V2 with the X-PSU power supply in top condition for £150. Is it a good buy? I have some Senn-580's and and a cheap b-Tech headphone amp at present. I understand that the valves can be swapped and was wondering where is the best place to source them in the UK? All contributions welcome!

regards FRANC

Reasonable price, esp if in good condition.

The tubes can be swapped very easily for good NOS(new old stock) tubes, and my favourite source is Chelmer Valves www.chelmervalve.com

I've always found them to be very helpful and speedy,as well as fairly priced for old Mullard tubes etc.

At £150 you can't go wrong assuming it is boxed etc.

If you don't want it can I have it ...(a bit cheeky i know but if you don't ask...)

The X-can is going through a revival over at head.fi and one particulat member (Pinkfloyd) has a web page detailing the best tweaks to do and tubes etc .

At £150 for both amp & psu it's a good deal presuming everything works fine. It should be a massive jump over the b-tech.
