ER6i v e2c for ipod use?

I recently got an ipod video and am considering either ER6i or e2c.

I'm currently using ER6 - which I normally use with HD3. The ER6 has started to cut out in the right ear, loose connection in the cable or something...
Anyway sound quality wise the ER6 distorts with the ipod, especially at higher volumes or with the eqs on.

As I wear glasses I am not keen on the e2c method of routing the wire over the back of my ears. Can the e2c be worn without doing this?

Thanks.

There are a number of posts here and elsewhere as to which earphones suit the headphone op-amp in iPods, and the Etymotics whilst excellent in their own right, are not amongst those best suited to the iPod.

If you do a search here, and in the MP3 forum, you should find a number of other threads on this, but a lot of owners do seem very happy with the Shures...I briefly tried a set of Etymotics with my iPod as I already had a pair, and found exactly the same problem.

the ER61solator is...fantastic with my Sony DNE20 CD ATRAC player. I travel a lot on planes and stuff and hte noise cancellation is poerfecto...and both of these products are a godsend. SonicStage 3.3 is fabulously easy to use - and so if i can get 30 odd cds onto one ATRAC CD at lowest bitrate - why would I want to go down the IPod road?? I have never had any problems like you guys mention (but i hate iPods) so dont have expereince with those cute white things...

And I truly am really fussy wiv headphones - I own a pair of Senn HD650s....
