hi all
i recently purchased a set of eh350 cans but as they are meant as a christmas present i have yet to properly test them out (besides instore). please tell me i have made a wise decision as i was looking for a balanced set of cans that are open.

I can tell you i have heard the eh350s, in fact the ones you now own!
I think for the price they are very good.

Although they are slightly dry sounding, they have a good balanced, natural sound. The mids aren't "honky" and the bass is tight and well extended. The treble is also not harsh like other models such as the hd212. The open air design seems to work well, and they don't leak as badly as other models i have used. They are comfortable (more so than the hd202 which I own) and can be driven fine by a portable dap such as an ipod or zen.

However they aren't exactly small, and the cord can be a bit too long for travelling. Overall though, a good purchase.
