Thanks for the overwhelming responce. I hope I can help you all soon as you have helped me. If anyone is interested, the 5pro's are awesome!! They seem to get better each time I listen.. Could be a burn in thing. Handheld were great to deal with and I would recommend them...

Sarcasm aside,I think the answer is that most if not all of us will have had no experience of these, other than yourself now,and thus wouldn't offer advice or opinion based on magazines etc.

You will find that on questions related to other items,of which forum members DO have personal experience, most are very helpful.

Copy + paste of a PM on another forum, helping out another member:

So I've had roughly 6 hours yesterday, and 6 hours today to listen to these...(don't care for college like that)

Sources to test: iaudio X5L, Sony HD3 + Sony DNE10

These are my first "true" IEMs, and have only the budget Panasonic + Sony's for comparison so I don't really know what "proper" IEMs should sound like...

But wow. Compared to the other two 'phones..these have a great balanced sound. If I'm being honest, they're slightly biased towards bass, but not OTT that it overwhelms mid + high, but holy crap. I'd describe it as punchy. Read the PR talk about the Pros using two armature based drivers? - true for once

The mids and highs are nice and clear. There's a great clarity to the sound. The isolation is fantastic - 26db, much better than the Panasonics and Sony's. I can close my eyes and the music...so beautiful. Also, these are loud. I only need the volume at half way.
Treble doesn't really have a great presence - but probably 'cos of the bass.

As you know these are behind the ear style - first time I've tried, but work great. They stay on, no amount of shaking dislodged them. Having said that, some complain about "traditional" IEM, worn the normal way, but I don't have a prob with that wearing style neither. They do stick out slightly too much for my liking, but still diminutive enough I suppose. Search forum, I remember seeing a pic

Head-fi forum for pic
