Portable headphones

Im looking for a pair of headphones, but i need them to fill a few requirements. I want a pair of in-ear headphones with the best quality i can get. The problem is i want to use these when i am snowboarding so i cant have all outside sound blocked out because i need to hear whos around me. Im assuming his eliminates all of the canal headphones. Comfort is very important also. Can anyone recommend a pair of headphones that meet all of the requirements, or does a pair just not exist?

You're probably best off with a pair of earclips. Something like the Koss KSC-75. Not the "best", but will match some isolating in-earphones ten times its price in terms of sound and is practical in use (and practically disposable). It'll fit under a beanie without problems.

Also not in-ear but sound good, Koss KSC55. Don't let the low price put you off. I wanted a low cost but not in-ear headphones for my MP3 player so asked on the Headwize forum and many people recommended these and it was a good recommendation. The only downside is the band (hook over ears, behind your head) can get uncomfortable after several hours - and I'm not sure of availabilty in the UK. I tried simliar price Sennheiser and Sony's - and IMHO Koss KSC55 just blow them away - which surprised me a Koss weren't known as 'top' brand.
