UK cans v US cans

Quick question.... only one conclusive reply needed....

Are US heaphones identical to UK ones (eg Grados)?.
I think amps are different due to electrical supply being lower voltage, but if I buy US will I get the equivalent UK headphones..?

They are SO much CHEAPER there!!

Yes I would say they are identical...the only problem being you will lose out on the warranty and may have to pay import duty/tax.

Yeah, import tax is a lottery. I've yet to pay it on stuff I've ordered from the states, friends of mine have been stung for it. So luck of the draw really. Its always worth a try though, US prices are very favourable right now.

If your getting Grado's, definitely get them from the US. I've seen RS-1's over there selling for about $450... thats about £250 - they are £700 here brand new.
