headphone extension lead

Hi,
I'm looking for a headphone extension lead (non coiled) 3-5M to be used with Grado SR60's
I know Grado do their own (£27 ), but can anyone recommend any cheaper alternatives?

Thanks

Any electronics store should be able to sort you out, try Maplin or CPC.

Thanks,
I suppose it's just a case of getting a half decent one, rather than the ultra thin £1.99 jobbie that is often available.

You could always make one yourself if you ordered the parts and could find the hot end of a soldering iron.

Ah,
that looks more like it.

After spending lots on decent interconnects etc it seemed a shame to use a bit of wet string to plug a nice set of headphones in without going OTT on Grado's own make.

Wow, glad I saw this post - I was looking for the exact same thing for my HD25BA's.

One thing I just cannot find anywhere is a decent 6.3mm jack-3.5mm socket adaptor, as the HD25BAs unfortunately come with a 3.5mm jack. Does anyone know where I can find a decent adaptor? I can only find cheap ones like this on ebay:

Or should I just get one of those, will it make much difference to sound quality?

I got one of these and its suprisingly good (Not the one in the pic)

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...11425&doy=5m11

I believe they're nickel, not gold, and the cable is 2 seperate wires running side by side covered in black plastic. Reasonably thick cable and reasonable looking connectors.

Work well with my shure e2c, havent tried anything else though

I ended up buying the Neutrik/van damme cable from Robert Schofield,
very solid and chunky, a bargain when you look as the price of the neutrik connectors.
