Ex71 wires

Wondering if anyone else who has bought the sony ex71 headphones has had problems with the wire splitting on the longer earbud wire? Are the wires on the ex81's as bad as these?

The EX71 JE Version will be a lot better than UK or US version. I have been used my JE version for 2 years and the phones are still in good condition. The US version just broke after my sister had used them for 3 months.

Got my JE version from Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-MDR-EX71SL-...QQcmdZViewItem

It comes with a MD style storage bag which give the headphones some protection.
