Can I use Sennheiser HD650 with a professional soundcard on PC?

I've got a M-Audio Audiophile 192 here on board, and would like to try the HD650 with it and see how it goes. I know it is best to connect an amplifier with the card first, and use HD650 from there. However, since I've got not much money left at the moment, I may have to wait a while to get my headphone amplifier. So is it OK to use this headphone with my current card (temporarily)? Thank you.

P.S I've seen people use HD650 with CD Players, and they say the quality is fine.
