Question Bang&olufsen, worth the money?

Hi

I am a student, and considering buying a pair of B&O A8's that frankly look like they are the dogs proverbials, and am wondering whether they are, in fact, just woefully expensive and flashy, and in fact sound rubbish...

I have at present a pair of sennheiser mx-500 that are very nice, and to be frank, the main thrust of my question is whether I would be getting any improvement in sound quality from these babies, or would my money purely be going on style?

I also own a pair of Beyer DT 231's which I use for listening at home, which sound AMAZING... would the B&O's come up anywhere near this standard?

Go for the Sennheiser. The B&O is just good looking, they are not sounding as good as the headphone specialists.

Well, frankly, this is just not true. As I said in my first thread, I already owned the sennheisers, and decided to go for the b&o regardless, after a brief trial in the shop.

The sound quality improvement from the sennheisers to the b&o's was AMAZING, and they have got better with time, although I do agree I was spending extra on the look, but they are too cool for school.

I would encourage anybody thinking of spending money on headphones to consider these babies, as although you spend money on style, you don't end up skimping on sound!

glad your happy stew............. If B&O were just style over function they wouldn't have lasted as long as they have.
