Talking Etymotic ER-4P Earphones (Who! I hear some say?) Update.

I purchased a pair of ER•4P earphones on the 30th December,
I must say, how they manage to get these to produce such good sound,
from such a small package is amazing!!!!!
It sounds better than my HD540's

I was a bit apprehensive about spending £142 on these, but after reading reviews,
( and having a few glasses of wine..) I decided to take the plunge and buy a set. I thought I was mad at the time.
But now having listened to them for a week,
I am highly delighted with them. WELL DONE ETYMOTIC!!! and now when I listen to music on my Ipod mini,
and ALL I hear is music.
OK! on a very quiet piece, I can just hear what is going on around me. On my HI-FI the sound is even better!!

These earphones produce a totally different listening experience compared to my Sennheiser HD540's.
With the 540's I could hear all that was going on around me,
Using the ER•4P earphones, because they block out so much of the background noise. I hear a lot more music,
don't need the volume turned up as much and I feel a lot calmer and relaxed after using them.

I have learnt not to push the earphones too far into my ears.
If you do the sound is compressed, they just seem to need a good seal to produce the optimum sound.

They have a 5ft cord and are supplied with the following..

1/4" Stereo phone adapter plug
6 white 3-flange ear tips
10 foam eartips
filter changing tool
4 replacement filters
shirt clip
pouch
storage box

Over the years I have read many 5 star reviews on Hi-FI products, visited dealers,
listened to these so called '5 star' products costing
thousands of pounds, and walked away disappointed.
I can only say that everything that I have read about the ER•4P earphones
producing excellent sound quality is correct...
