Replacement for shure E2c

My beloved shure e2c have given up on me, after approx 3 years of faithful service. But I need a set of in ear headphones on par with these for approx £20, listen to all sorts of music so I tend to prefer something very balanced across the ranges.

The cx400 have caught my eye, what are these like?

I have listened to the beats headphones and think they sound awful, so nothing similar to those please

I also tried the beats and they were awful too.

I'm looking at either the beyer dynamics at about 69 or the Sony ex500s both get good reviews

Have you considered SoundMagic PL30? They are a bit over your price range.

Thanks for l advice I finally took the plunge on some headphones I went for the denon AHC 560r as play.com had them on the £24.99 deal, and must admit build quality not as good as I was hoping for, not bad just not amazing. But the sound is very impressive easily on par with the shure's alot tighter bass and mid range, and generally better sound.
