I'd found this one at the head-fi forum,and since I had one redundant and gathering dust,decided to give it a go.

It's received some good reviews in the US as a headphone amp,and it's easy to see why...plenty of power(as you'd expect with the headphone socket paralleled across the speaker outs),and good firm bass,with plenty of mid and treble detail,and little if any harshness.

It doesn't compare to the Earmax in terms of ultimate detail and subtlety,nor in terms of attack/decay,but for the money(around£250) it makes an excellent and relatively cheap H/p amp,with the added bonus of being quite a decent little amp for use in piping music to other rooms etc.

Well worth a look.
