Anyone else try these? I need a simple surround solution that I can use when everybody is asleep. Bit pricey but will probably buy.

there superb, there are problems with some of the sets with talkback on xbox live, my mates are pretty poor online but they send you a new set or a new chat cable as some sets have dodgy ones, i havent had any problems at all with mine and love the 7.1 on modern warfare 2, you have to hear it to fully appreciate it.

Brilliant sound except for a constant background hiss. Returned my first set because of the hiss but the replacement had the exact same problem.

Not a major problem during game play but for £150 I want the product to work as advertised. Two mates have the same hiss but they just live with it.

Currently going through the MadCatz (the European distributor) troubleshooting procedure. Hope they can help because otherwise these are great.

turtle beach x41 Cheap Rubbish

Following many hours on line making my mind up on what headphones/headset to buy for my 360, i spent £149 of my hard earnt cash and bought a set of turtle beach x4,s..
what a mistake. they lasted 3 days !!! they are poorly made, have the cheapest of in-line volume controls i have seen for a long time, they hiss when up loud so take no notice of there promo video saying that you can't even hear they are on !! they do sound nice when you dont move! as any small movent on the xbox controler makes a crackle in your ears!.. i am so dissapointed that you can spend so much cash on a poor product..I am off to try a set of Tritton AX Pro's as these seem to be of a lot better quality and worth the price they ask for them..I got mine from game on-line, on return to the shop i expected to have a falling out with the shop assitant but instead he said, no suprise there then here is your cash sir ! says it all me thinks...
I would say stay away from TB as there is a lot more options out there for a lot less cash..this is just my opp so sorry if your a TB lover..enjoy

sorry you have had problems with them, i personally haven't had a single problem with mine, no background hiss or problems with the mic but my mate has had to return his to lime as he was having major problems with them to the extent that he couldnt use them anymore and he is paying the extra for a set of astros.

The hiss isn't a fault with your headphones, it's interference caused by the wireless.

You can only hear it when there's no sound playing, in game it isn't audible at all so it's hardly a problem.

Its definitely a fault as I've been through the Turtle Beach troubleshooting and they've confirmed that there should be no hiss.

The turtle beach website has it's own forum, the X41 section is full of people with the same problem as me. The Turtle Beach poster on the forum usually goes through the usual trouble shooting procedure before referring people to the (US) warranty dept.

Can definitely hear it in game (although it could just be my set), really hope I can get a better pair as otherwise these are great.

Hmm, quite odd that is.

I don't have the X41s, only the X4s and I thought you were referring to the very slight hiss you get when there's no audio.

Well, hope you get it sorted!
