Re: Aerial 7 Headphones?

Specs mean nothing, they don't tell you how a phone sounds. THe advertising suggests an overly blinged product that is all show and not much sound.

If its pitched at iPhone and skype users, then don't expect much, as neither are particularly great sources. My iPhone sounds fine with canals, but sucks with full size phones.

It depends what you want a phone for and what you're going to use it with.

Re: Aerial 7 Headphones?

Oh okay thanks for the info! I read on a different forum (head-fi i think) that they are probably rebranded other headphones. I think because all iv ever used is the apple earbuds and due to the fact that i know nothing of audio quality that these will still be a significant improvment from what im used too

HI....i was like you and looking for some good headphones. I thought Skullcandy were the best but i went in a shop today and the guy hooked up his ipod to some Ariel7 and then some Skullcandys. The difference was amazing. The bass was fantastic with the A7. The Skulls were ok, and if i had heard them first i would have thought they were good but the the A7 got plugged in and the difference was amazing.
The guy who started the company used to work for Sony and Bose, so he knows his stuff.
I am definately going to get some A7 Tanks. Highly recommended. The product itself felt far more durable too. Better quality

If you used to think SK's were the best, you're coming off a very very low baseline.

Drubbing - i only went by how every store round here has SK in - i made the assumption that that made them the best!

Taylor - me too. I have asked people for money for xmas so i can get some. I really was impressed with them. I wouldn't use them if i was a professional DJ or anything, but for use with your iPod and stuff, just normal everyday use, i think they are fantastic!

Just because something is sold widely doesn't make it any good. They're only stocking them because of how they look - they're marketing to skateboarders and street kids who put style above everything else.

Like the Areil, which looks like a SK wannabe, they are laughed at by anyone who actually likes and appreciates good sound, even out of an iPod. You can get far better sound for the money, but they won't come in fluoro and cool blue.

So what would you recommend for me? I want to spend about £60. I am not bothered about colour!
