Using headphones on LG 42PC1D

i would like to use a set of headphones on my LG TV, but it does not seem to have an headphone socket. However it does have a audio out phono connections (red/white). Reading through the manual, the sound from this seems to be set, so would not be able to alter the volume.

Can anyone recommend the best way of doing this. Want to spend as little as possible on it, as it is only for the occasional time that I would need to use the headphones.

Sorry, just confirmed in the manual .. it is called "Variable Audio Out", but does not give any more detail on that.

Thanks in advance
