Thinking of Grado SR325is

Already own grados SR60i & I'm thinking of investing in a pair of the 325s
Does anyone here own a pair & if so would you recommend them & are they worth the money.

All comments welcome.

Re: Thinking of Grado SR325is

What would you be running them off? They don't need an amp, but the mid and upper range Grado's probably deserve one. Source will be important too.

WoW headphones. They make a big impact on listening. Very tight fast accurate bass, lots of detail and clarity, and very peaky in the trebles. Some find them 'shouty'.

All delivered in the typical in your face Grado style; I almost wore out my ears auditioning the MS2, which is the Alessandro version, and is a smoother, less harsh version, and they were too much for me; very fatiguing and couldn't listen for as long as I'd want to listen to music for.

Worth the money? If you like them, yes, and depends on whether you think they're good value. I realise the UK, like anywhere outside if the US, gets stiffed big time on pricing, so for the money there are probably many others phones that are just as capable.

Re: Thinking of Grado SR325is

Don't see much wrong with that, the only thing to consider is headphone outs on integrated amps can be wildly variable in quality, which can be revealed by quality phones.

I suppose it depends on whether you think the 325 sound like something you'd like.
