Anyone have a JVC/Viktor SU-DH1?

Instead of using an AC adapter can I use the same USB cable I use to charge one of my [xbox 360] battery packs? It fits into the unit and when I turn it on it works, however I don't want more power going into the unit than is required unless it packs in.

Does anyone else use it with a USB cable as opposed to the adapter?

Quick pic to show what I'm on about

The JVC is only 3 volts, I'm not sure what a usb cable would be but thats a bloody good idea, I'm gonna try that with mine

Just noticed the USB cable is a USB to DC 5v cable

Gonna have a look for a 3v one for the adapter
