Sennheiser HD 570

Hello all,
I'd be grateful for some advice if you'd be so kind...

I've had a pair of HD 570s for around 5 years now, they've served me very well, but in the last few months they've gone a bit dodgy.

They keep cutting out the sound if I move. Be it my head or my body.

I think it's the cable, insofar as you fiddle with it on the left hand unit and the sound will return in one ear, then two.

I'm happy to buy another pair if neccesary, but would be gutted to chuck a very decent set of headphones cos of wiring that could be repaired for a few quid.

Is there a way of diagnosing the problem rather than splashing out for new cans?

Many Thanks.

Re: Sennheiser HD 570

Very likely a cable has come unsoldered from the driver. If you're handy you could strip it down and do it yourself for the cost of a soldering iron.

Otherwise you'll need to find somewhere that'll do it, and they don't usually like to bother, as it's fiddly, so they charge accordingly.
