Question All round headphones suggestion

Hi, Can anyone suggest a pair of headphones, around £100, with a good amount of bass for use with Games, Movies, TV and music?

I will mainly be using with PS3, laptop and TV. All indoor stuff.
I don't have an amp, but will consider this too.

Thanks

I'm also after the same thing.
The two I'm currently thinking about are:

Sennheiser RS130 - wireless and surround sound
Grado SR60i

I will use them for late night PS3 games/BD

I'm sure other posters can give you further advice.

Re: All round headphones suggestion

Yea, i started by considering the RS130, but i'm worried about hissing and recharging them.

I'm now considering something like the Sharkoon X-tatic digital V3 5.1 gaming headset. Looks great for the PS3 with a mic and is good for movies too. Prob not too good for music though. Trusted Reviews give it 8/10.
Would anyone recommend this?

The Grado SR80i looks good for Music. It would need an astro mixamp for games i'm guessing.

I'm going to have a demo of both - I will not use a separate amp as I will probably only use them at weekends, I'm not worried about the hiss with RS130s; wouldnt have thought that would be an issue.

Cool, Let me know how you get on. I'll not rule the RS130s out just yet

Tested both today - quite a difference so here's a brief summary:

Grado
Detailed and very good if considering listening to music only. Lightweight (maybe even a tad on the flimsy side) and the lead is short so would advise getting an extension.

RS130
More chunkier and sturdy. No problems with hissing and you have the option to switch the surround mode off. Sound wise, I listened to a surround music BD, sounded fine but not hugely expansive. Would imagine be very useful for games such as call of duty.

I'm likely to go for the RS130s as I feel they are more of an all round headphone, although the sound on the Grado was definately superior. Maybe I'll get both.......

Try the AD700, doesn't need an amp, works well for both games and music.

I reckon wireless is a terrible choice, particularly for gaming. You drop most of your money on the wireless tech and get average sound. And hiss.

Grados aren't flimsy, that's just the way they look; you'll never get a headband split on them, and they're as susceptible as any other phone to having the cord yanked out of the driver - but better suited to music anyway.
