Arrow Best in-ear headphones for <£25-30?

Hey,
i'm looking for a good set of in-ear headphones for £25-30 or under, to replace the multiple sets of £10 'decent' headphones i've been going through over the past few months.

Please provide specific model numbers (-please- no generic answers like "anything by sony..") and if possible a few reasons to support your answer.

If you have a suggestion that is out of the £25-30 budget, please feel free to suggest anyway, as long as you state it is exceeding the budget.

any help would be great,
thanks,
matt

Re: Best in-ear headphones for <£25-30?

Check out my SL30 review (see my profile, about me)

I've previously owned Panasonic HJE50, Sony EX71, Senn CX300 and my brother owned a pair of Philips

Although the Senn PX100 are simply the best budget headphones you can buy in my opinion if you are OK with their design

Re: Best in-ear headphones for <£25-30?

My vote goes to the Sennheiser CX300. I got through three pairs of Sony 71's which I found too fragile, they were exchanged under guarantee twice so when they broke for a third time I decided to try the CX300's. I've had the them for about three years now and they're still as good as new. I'm thinking of changing them for the MM50iP to use with the iPhone, I hope they are the same as the 300's but with the microphone.

Sennheiser CX500 can be had for around £20 if you shop around, and they sound fantastic. Just be careful of fakes.

Re: Best in-ear headphones for <£25-30?

Just thought I'd update my last post...

That'll teach me to say thing's like "I've had the them for about three years now and they're still as good as new". I put them on Friday morning and the left ear was dead!!! I wasn't too pleased but then someone pointed out I use them everyday when commuting so that's 3 hours a day x 5 days a week x 47 weeks a year x 3 years and that's 2,115 hours use so I guess I've had my money's worth.

I picked up a pair of Sennheiser MM50's for the iPhone which seem to be exactly the same as the CX300's but with the built in mic. Let's hope they last as long as the one's they've replaced and let's also hope I've learnt not to tempt fate again!

i have the mm50s for my iphone (think im on my second set after braking the first in my car door :/ ) but other than that i love them, extremely useful for driving and making a quick call handsfree etc!

sound quality is nice aswell as design.

therefore my vote would go to the cx300

(and agree with a post further up, sonys are just too fragile :/ i had about 4 sets before i realised i just couldnt get by with them!)
