Hi all
A quick question about bose warranties on products replaced during the warranty period.
I had the inear phones from Bose which broke sometime last year and were replaced under warranty.
The replacement ones broke a couple of weeks back and I called up Bose to find out what to do - The lady had a look on the system and said that as the replacements were given last year, they would have the 2 year warranty from the date of replacement and hence would be replaced and to send them in.
Just had a call from the repair centre who now want the original proof of purchase and will not replace them if they are outside 2 years from the original purchase.
A- I don't have the proof of purchase!
B- Why am I getting conflicting information?
If I was told this originally I would have never bothered to send them in for replacement.
She did offer to send a replacement one for £50...fat chance I'm paying that much for a pair which have lasted me only over a year on average! I might as well go for cheaper and almost as good shures.
Anyways, my question is - What has been your experience?
Will try to do some research tonight by calling up customer services a couple of times and recording the calls and what they say about this situation!
I usually record calls to mobile cos/virgin etc...thought I could trust bose...obviously not!
Cheers!
