Decent cans with subby sounds for use with Dolby Headphone?

Hi all,

My budget for cans is around the £100 mark. I'm looking at using them with the Astro A40 Mix amp. I'll be using this set up for xbox, movies and music. I'm after a set that would give a subby sound, booming explosions and whatnot but with that I want crystal clear sounds. I'm also after a decent sound stage. I've read reviews on the: Audio Technica ATH-A700 & AD 700s, Sennheiser HD280pro Closed DJ/Monitor Headphone, Sennheiser HD595, Sennheiser HD555 but tbh none of them sound like what I'm after.

Any recommendations?

Re: Decent cans with subby sounds for use with Dolby Headphone?

After reading around some more I believe a 'subby' sound can't be achieved with a set of cans. However I have settled on getting the Audio-Technica ATH-A500s soon unless someone can sway me.
