Problem with headphone jack...

I've had a pair of these wonderful Philips wireless headphones (SBCHC8440) for 18 months now, and while there's nothing wrong with the actual headphones, it's gotten to that point where sounds only comes through one side, unless I fiddle with the jack for a while. It's a pain in the arse. Here's a picture of the headphones:

Now, I'd had dozens of pairs of headphones in my time, and this has happened to probably all of them at some point, and universally because there's a problem with the jack, and this situation is no different. Except these are great headphones, and buying a new pair would set me back £50, which is about $90

So, since this is a forum specifically for headphones, I'm guessing some of you might have come across a problem of this exact nature at some point. My question is, would a replacement jack solve the problem, and if so, is it easy to buy them?
