Budget headphone amp with remote control

I need a headphone amplifier with remote control, ideally with more than one output, and ideally with independent volume control for each headphone. Perhaps this doesn't exist?

As a fall-back, a cheap remote-control headphone amplifier, something small that isn't DIY, ideally with an onboard mains (don't want bricks).

Why don't more systems have more than one headphone output?

How do people use more than one pair of headphones for listening?

I don't think I've ever seen a headphone amp with a remote. I don't really see the point of a remote, for headphone listening, I set the level and leave it alone.

This Project head amp comes close to what you want, I couldnt say whether it has onboard PSU though.

Project Headbox SE II

There's also the Creek OBH21 but that doesn't have independant control for each headphone output.

About using two pairs of headphones - as you can only fit one on your head at a time, I'd guess people with more than one set of headphones just switch them over at the amp when they fancy a change.

Thanks, this is for TV/Movie watching and for more than one person (say 2-3 people with headphones). The remote is so that we don't have to keep getting up and walking right across the room each time to change the level etc.

It looks like the cheapest option, is to just buy three integrated amplifiers and use them as headphone amps!

Too exotic (and expensive), I want quality HiFi, don't want audiophile etc.

I'm looking at Behringer AMP800. Doesn't have remote control, but at least it's cheap and has a bunch of outputs.

Re: Budget headphone amp with remote control

My Chinese Lehmann clone, HEF188, has a dual HO, so does the original Lehmann black cube, so they're out there.

Never seen a Head amp with remote.

Re: Budget headphone amp with remote control

Yeah, I've never seen one with a remote either.

Had another thought about this. I might site the headphone amplifier near to sofa, so that the control is within reach!

Not sure about the Behringer AMP800 though now, as it has millions of LED VU meter things. Might go for the Behringer HA400.

Anyone know of any other little headphone amps like the above two Behringers?
