Connecting earphones to DAC
Is this possible? I'd like to connect a cheapish pair of portable in-ear earphones to the RCA ouputs of my DAC. There's volume control on my music server so I assume the ouput level won't be a problem, or am I wrong? Is it a bit like connecting a power amp directly to a CD player and using the volume control of the cd player, which can be quite risky.
I'd use 5m phono to 3.5mm cable with a female to female 3.5mm coupler to connect to headphones to. Would this work ok?
Finally can anyone recommend some in-ear headphones around the £50 mark, I may be prepared to spend a little more on a good bargain. Currently looking at Shure Se210's for £55 from www.iaural.co.uk . Any other good websites would be appreciated!
Thanks!
