CX300 Replacements - £50?

My CX300s broke today, looking at getting some in-ear headphones for around the £50 mark (will push budget slightly if worth it).

I love my bass if that makes a difference

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Re: CX300 Replacements - £50?

I'd go for the Sennheiser CX 500's I recently got them and don't regret it, black ones are only £18 on play.com at the moment.. but I think they're worth a lot more. I've tried similar more expensive ones and they weren't as good, I'm quite fussy with headphones so these must be good well built but light. 113dbs, good loud sound and bass for the money. 6 sizes of buds are included to ensure comfort and fit, good deal. They're the best selling earphones at the moment on Play for a good reason.

Re: CX300 Replacements - £50?

If his budget is up to 50, I'd suggest he's looking for something a lot better than the CX500.

The 500 isn't really any different from the 300, except it has a cable vol control. And I'd dare to suggest it's a good seller as it's a senn and 20 quid is most people's first price point for getting 'better' phones than iBuds.

And play's reviewers don't rate it much, which is a bit of an anomaly considering how many they may shift. It indeed they do, and they're not just spruiking it.

I suppose he could buy some overpriced Shures for £50 or £60 then, but the CX 500 are just as good.

You may not be able to tell the difference between shures and the CX500 (assuming you've heard Shures and aren't just passing on others opinions), but the CX500 do not compare to earphones 3 times the price.

Try the Ultimate Ears 3, currently at just over £48 from Dixons online, I have had the CX300, and while they are pretty good, these are good step up and worth every penny.
